House of Suffering: DC Edition
This past Sunday, in an appropriately barricaded capital, I had the honor of reading with Danniel Schoonebeek, Michelle Dove, Matthew Zingg, and Sandra Beasley at the Black Squirrel in Adam's Morgan. A special thank-you goes out to Maria Celis for the snapshots.
The next day, I boarded a north-bound bus back to New York with a glitter-adorned apple,
courtesy of Tracy Dimond.
It now lives on my kitchen counter.
This was after Schoonebeek and I said goodbye to a grieving horse in a park,
and he got on a train going the other direction.
Wish him luck in all the houses of suffering off the country's rail lines.
